A New Year? Already?

I love the beginning of things- new years, new mornings, new projects, new semesters...haha I could go on. It's fresh, it's new, it's pure....untouched. I like that. It makes me feel new, pure, and untouched by the world. I guess that's why God let us know that His mercies are new every morning (if only I could remember that reference)! How exciting! Believe me, every morning I need a new dose of His mercy!!

I think that is what God has been trying to teach me this morning. I woke up a little down- down on myself. Then God, in is loving way that I am so unworthy of, reminded me that His mercy was new every morning. Praise God.

Many days I fail at my relationship with God. But that doesn't stop my Father!

So this month I want to spend more TIME, which many times I am relunctant to give up, seeking the face of my Savior.

I KNOW THIS SEEMS TO BE THE COMMON NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION FOR CHRISTIANS. IT'S BECAUSE EVEN THE STRONGEST CHRISTIAN IS SO FAR FROM WHAT HOLINESS COMMANDS!

To honestly see a differcnce, I need a plan and accountability!

Will you keep me accountable?

My plan is to give God my best! My best is NOT early in morning MOST days. This semester I will have a break in my schedule that will allow me to spend time with God around 10:00 except Tues and Thurs. I want to give this time to Him. I have a different time on Tues and Thurs.

Reminder to self: this not about a schedule, plan, or something else to keep me bound. This is about making time to spend with my best friend.

I love you!

In His Love!

Jennifer

"His mercies are new every morning"
This struck me anew when I read it. I have read this and heard it said many times, and I understood it (I thought), but today I see it with new eyes. Thanks Jennifer!

Being accountable with you my dear friend. Rich blessings to you!
