Good Morning, bloggy friends!
I love Saturday mornings -waking up slowly, grabbing a hot cup of brew (of the coffee kind), and reading my Bible with no rush or dread for what's ahead. Everything is in slow motion and relaxed. For this beach bum wannabe, it's heaven. This morning I was reading about good ole David that "man after God's own heart". But that's not what I want to share with you guys. This verse...
Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my inmost being praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not his benefits- who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth will be renewed like the eagle's. Psalm 103:1-5
...has been on my mind all week. The week began with me depleted spiritually. I was burned out, tired, and under attack. My spiritually depleted state made putting on the armor of God a chore I couldn't find the strength to do. On my lunch break one day I decided to go to the recreation department and eat by the pond. As I was praying, I recited part of a verse I hadn't read in a long time: "heal our diseases, Lord". When I got back to the car, I pulled out my Bible hoping to find that verse. I sighed a prayer, "Lord help me find this verse"- I needed to know what the rest of the verse said. I opened my Bible, and my eyes fell on "heals all your diseases".
Praise the Lord! He not only heals all my sins and disease, but He crowns me with love and compassion and satisfies my desires with good things. *Notice the Word says "good things" not "the things you want". * Interesting.
I'm not going to pretend I know you guys needed to hear this today, but it was a sweet reminder to me that I am healed.
Well, ladies and gents, breakfast is calling my name. Happy Saturday! I pray it's full of fun for you today!
In His Name,
Jennifer

So good to know Him as healer!
And I am so with you on these easy Saturday mornings...the hubby is off at work and I'm still in my p.j's at almost 10 o'clock. I don't feel tooo guilty...but I'm going to be productive now and make some more coffee and open my Bible :)
Amen, Stephanie! Girl, I am all about stayin' in the p.j's as long as possible. I hope you time in the Bible was great this morning!...I just realized the other day when I was looking at old post that we have been bloggy friends since July of 2008. Can you believe that?
Wow, that is crazy! I didn't realize we've "known" each other that long, very cool! I just love how the internet can bring together believers from different parts of the world that never would have met otherwise! And how we share a connection that is so much more than an online friendship because we are daughters of our Heavenly Father.
I know! It's so great- such a gift from God really. I'm excited to know that if I never "meet" you on earth, we will worship our Lord together in heaven!
