Going Atop Mt. Vernon

Tomorrow I'm heading back to school. I'm pretty excited! I miss my friends, my dorm room, the student center, and classes- everything minus homework and studying! I even kinda miss the routine of school.

My schedule next semester looks like it may be a little tough. That's okay. I'm ready!

I will have the opportunity to go back to my school church ( As I like to call it, my home away from home church.) as the part-time youth leader. YAY!! I have missed the youth there. Unlike my summer group, this group consist mainly of girls with a couple of boys. I love them. I love watching them grow. However, I have to admit I get discouraged easily. This is so new to me. I'm doing the best I can, but there is so much I don't know. Youth are fickle, amazing, but fickle all the same. :) Yet, I'm so much more prepared than I was when I started at the end of last semester. I have spent this summer training, learning, and just plain experiencing. As I have said earlier, I have grown so much closer to my Savior through my mission experience. I feel so much more prepared, not neccessarily because I'm any better at leading youth, but because I have learned to depend on Him! Amen!

I'm ready for the work load. I'm ready to learn in all aspects of my being. Each year of school, I feel one step closer to God. I know I'm where I'm suppose to be. I question it every year, but God is faithful every time to remind me that I am in His hands.

So, here I go. I'm headed to the top of Mt. Vernon. :)

My blogging may slow down, but I will still try to blog frequently. I will definitely be stopping by and reading blogs- even on days I don't blog myself! :)

In His love,

Jennifer

I love what Elaine said. :)

Hi Jennifer - I just came by to thank you for visiting my blog and signing my guestbook. God be with you as you go back to school. I love your heart for youth and was encouraged by your honesty too. I have just started leading a bible study in our women's SS class and just "that" makes me nervous. It was much easier leading 5-6 year olds! :)
God Bless!

Hi Jennifer,

I am so glad you are following God's heart for your life! What an amazing testimony that is. God will continue to lead you and mold you to be the daughter He desires.

God bless you this week. I'll be praying for you!

Sonya
