Letting Go to Take Hold of Him

holding hands Pictures, Images and Photos

One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple. For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon a rock. Psalm 27:4-5

Lately, I have been seeking. There are decisions that need to be made in my life. Instead of trusting the one who orchestrates my life, I have chosen to seek after answers to my questions and for direction with controlling hands. I lay my questions, my fears, and my desire to follow Him at His feet, only to pick them up again. My struggles are to figure out what God wants me to do. That doesn't sound bad, actually, it's sounds great. So, why I'm I tired and frustrated? Three Words: Lack Of Trust

Tonight, I'm putting all the uncertainty behind and trusting in what is certain.

I want to "dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life". When I "gaze upon the beauty of the Lord" and "seek him in his temple", the world with it's concerns fades into the distance. I hide in his shelter, where I can let go of confusion.

Later in Psalm 27 it says, My heart says of you, "seek his face!" Your face, Lord, I will seek (verse 8).

My questions are still unanswered. I'm not sure where God is leading. Even so, when things are unclear for me, my hope is that all things are clear for Him. That truth demands my trust.

Let's seek the One who holds the answers versus the actual answers. Then trust the outcome to Him.

In His Name,
Jennifer
