My brain is overflowing with ideas, dreams, and strategies for the new year. I'm on the fast track to running myself into the ground (aka outside of the will of God) if I'm not careful to make Him part of the equation. I take after Him, ya know. In fact, His creative, dreaming mind formed me. Dreams and ambitions are apart of His make-up too. The world would be empty (void) without the creative touch of our powerful God.

The big dream life as tripped me up numerous times. I thought it was because I was a failure, unable to even "make" my creative dreams come to life. Watching others setting their minds to do something and then making it happen was salt in the wound. Why couldn't I just do one of the many things I wanted to do? My dreams have always been as eclectic as my tastes are- surely one of my goals would fit into God's plan for me.
I've tried to be obedient by prayfully considering each and every desire. Could this be your plan for me, Lord? Never moving without peace that that was the right move.
Here I am standing still again wondering if I'm just slow, or if the waiting season is a part of God's plan for my life. I have to evaluate. That's where I am today.
Is it fear or obedience?
Wait or move?
Are my eyes and ears open to God's will and plan for me- not for anyone else, but for me?
When the time comes, am I ready to take steps of faith?
Is that time now?
I'm not sure what to do with all my "big ideas", except to hand them back to God who has authored my life. I know, His will or not, He enjoys hearing each one. God is also faithful to lead me into His will.
Maybe you, who's reading this, can relate. If you can, I guess I would say, "keep talking and listening to God about your life". He equips, according to the same power that raised our Savior from the dead, for His glory. His plans are not for your glory and not for mine.
May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen (Hebrews 13:20-21).
In His Name,
