When I take an inventory of my life, I have to wonder how I'm doing in this area. My heart breaks for orphans and widows, but that's not enough. Am I visiting orphans and widows in their affliction? What would that even look like in my life? Would praying be enough? How about giving money or time? What is my aim- to just do enough?
Then I can't forget to keep {myself} unstained from the world. It's religion that is pure and undefiled before God. Oh that's my goal. Yet, how often does the spoil of the world touch my robe of white?
James 1:27 challenges us to look beyond ourselves. I guess I should speak for myself here- James 1:27 challenges me. I want to put some action behind my love, though I can't always say I know what that looks like.
So, in an effort to bring this home for us, let me tell you about a little girl. Actually, a couple of little girls. You see this pretty little girl, Bethany?
She needs a home- a family really. And so does her sister, Erin. Click her button to learn more about their story. I'm praying these girls find a home soon, and I hope you will too. Bethany has a warrior through Reece's Rainbow , who first introduced me to Bethany. You can read her posts about Bethany and Erin here, or you can click her button below.
Let's do what we know we can do today for Bethany and Erin- pray and, if you're able, give. Also, keep your eyes open for opportunities to physically reach out to orphans and widows. And watch those stains!
In His Name,
Jennifer

Thank you so much! I wanted to let you know, for when you see my new post, if you updated the button code last night it will still work. As you will see, I got a new picture and changed the button...again...but the code I made last night still goes to the right page :)
I LOVE the new button. I will change it on my side bar and will write a new post with it. :)
