Good Morning!

Good morning, my wonderful blogging friends!

Yesterday, as I was spending some time in God's Word, I found some verses that really struck a cord with me. So, I thought I would share.

I Peter 1:3-5 "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade--kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.
AND
I Peter 1:13-16 " Therefore, prepare your minds for action: be self-controlled: set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed. As obedient children, do not conform any longer to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written; Be holy, because I am holy."
I hope these verses touch you as much as they did me.
Praise His Name,
Jennifer

Girl, you have no idea how that spoke directly into my life!
I needed the reminder to be holy, instead of reacting!

Steven and I need your prayers. I can't share now but it's related to church "stuff!"

I love you!

Jennifer,
I have the first peter verse at the bottom of my page..when I first read it it really stood to me because it's saying..hey, you know right and wrong now, time to take responsibilty for your actions. I love it that it stood out to you, too!

This was so encouraging to read! I loved how it says to prepare your minds for action. This tells me that the battle for our minds and souls is ON and we need to be prepared to battle even ourselves in order to see self control and holiness.

Thank you for this encouragement!
