I Need More Of Him!

"Give me one pure and holy passion,
Give me one magnificent obssession,
Give me one glorious ambition for my life
To know and follow hard after you" ~One Pure and Holy Passion( I think)

This is my prayer. Like I've said before, God is doing a strange and unusual thing in my heart. I'm in a low valley, but a valley with purpose. I know God is teaching me in the silence...in my rebellion. My heart feels distant...His heart is near.

I'm living; I'm learning; and I'm desperately trying to follow hard after Him. I love the song by Brit Nicole "I want to set the world on fire". That is my hearts cry. Yet, my heart has lost it's volume. My heart is on mute. However, my God hears it. He sees it and He cares.

I love Him! He is a God of mercy and love. "How Great is our God!"

"Trust Him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to Him, for God is our refuge." Psalm 62:8

" Because you are my help, I sing in the shadows of your wings. My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me." Psalm 63:7

He is my "refuge" and I will "sing in the shadow of His wings".

In His Love! (which is beyond anything we can imagine!)

Those are beautiful verses, Jennifer! I haven't been on your blog for a little while but I'm glad I came by...I didn't realize you've been going through some struggles, so now I'm praying for you. I'm sure that Satan pours on his attacks the strongest when he sees spiritual progress in our lives...don't be discouraged, my friend! God is for you and He will protect you and keep you strong as you turn to Him for help. Love in Christ,

Stephanie

I love that song too Jennifer and I could tell you meant it with all that was in you. Keep trusting, keep clinging, He is there and you will hear His voice again. In His Love -

Silence is a good thing and can be the best thing for God to sow his seeds of purpose and intimacy in and with you. I know these days. In fact, I've lived these seasons and am currently living one now.

I'm growing to appreciate them rather than rebel against them. I hear that in your words, and I pray that God's tender care and careful teaching will show you his magnificent presence during these days.

How is life at school? It's been so long since I walked those days. College was a good season for me, although I spent a great deal of time trying to find my wings! Here's praying for you to find yours.

I love the Psalms, especially during times of discouragement and struggle.
