Listening

To those of you who read my last post, thanks for your prayers. Please keep praying.

Back in January, I read a verse that I knew was going to play a big part in my semester, if not the whole year. That verse comes from Hosea, "Sow for yourselves righteousness, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the Lord, until He comes and showers righteousness on you." Hosea 10:12.

That verse comes up in my life all the time. Every time I read/hear it, I know God is teaching me something.

According to dictionary.com, the word sow means, "to scatter (seed) over land, earth, ect., for the purpose of growth". Well, we have all heard Sunday school stories of seeds (planting and reaping a harvest).

In God's perfect timing, a friend sent me a text message this morning, which included part of this verse, "Again, he said, 'What shall we say the kingdom of God is like, or what parable shall we use to describe it? It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest seed you plant in the ground. Yet, when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds of the air can perch in its shade." Mark 4:30-32.

I'm still listening to what God is trying to teach me from this verse. I will spend more time clarifying, hopefully, when I get some clarification.

In His Love,
Jennifer

Here's a post I wrote a few months back regarding this "mustard seed" scripture...

For what it's worth.

Keep listening, friend. God longs to give you his heart!
