Some Thoughts Needing Attention

Healing. It's a great word; one that grabs at others' attention. We all long for healing in some form> physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual. Nonbelievers and Christians alike want to believe that there is relief from their suffering. I am included in this group of healing seekers *I mean that in a somewhat conservative way* ;) I have struggled with God; I have sought His face; and I have thrown myself at His feet. *I fail to do the latter more than I should*. Freedom (Healing) does not always come when expected. That statement brings me to the point of this post. During my time at Melba's Manor, God really worked on my heart. He began the healing process in some places in my life. I want to share with you all the verses He has used to shape my life this summer. *These are in no particular order*

"I am still confident of this; I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord." Psalm 27:13-14

"In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in EXPECTATION." Psalm 5:3

"Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you." Psalm 9:10

Psalm 13

Psalm 25

"But now this is what the Lord says-- He who created you , O Jacob, He who formed you, O Israel: 'Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the fire you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord, your God...Since you are precious and honored in my sight and because I love you..." Isaiah 43:1-4

"Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him." James 1:12

God used these verses to shake up my spiritual life, to give me a head start on healing.

That leaves me with one last thing...."Hope" its a word that has been stalking me. It's everywhere and it hits me like a brick in the face every time. I know that God is laying this word on my heart, but I'm unsure why. So, my question for you is: "Why is hope important to you?" "What does it mean to your life?"

I have been tempted to give the "right" answers without searching my heart and the Word....

In His Love,
Jennifer

wow, Jennifer. it's amazing how the Spirit can speak to so many of His at the same time! I've been really struggling lately with worry about some things that are beyond my control, and a few nights ago I did what you said -- I fell before the Lord. and you know what? He led me to these EXACT same verses! most of the times our hurts and and fears and circumstances are completely out of our hands, and nothing is going to happen until we give it to Him. Thanks for sharing these verses; I feel like the Lord spoke confirmation through you! I love your heart!
