Today is...

National Human Trafficking Awareness Day

How aware are we?

Where do you fall in 1-10 scale rating with 1 being amateur and 10 being a professional?

If you're like me, you're not too happy with your rating. Well, good news. There are tons of great resources right under our noses.

Here is a link to a post, with a lot of great resources, from my friend Laura's blog. Please check her out! She wrote a great post today that you can find here FYI: she's awesome! But she probably wouldn't want me to tell you that. *grin*

I hope today you make an effort to become aware. Human Trafficking is a major problem. All the stats I've read said there are 27 million slaves in the world (that's your soil and mine). Men, women, and children are sold, as if they are property, to do atrocious things. Hiding our heads in the sand won't make it better. We can, however, shine the light of Jesus Christ in the darkness, showing Human Trafficking for what it is- evil.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed (Luke 4:18).

In His Name,
Jennifer

That is the verse that the Lord gave me a year ago when I first started becoming involved in this issue, and it has been a verse that has confirmed my calling an untold number of times. Thanks for raising awareness. Keep being a voice! The Lord is going to use you in mighty ways!

Jennifer,
Human trafficking is also something that has touched my heart. Would you consider reposting this blog I did about Women At Risk (WAR)? Or retweeting....to get the word out.
Thanks!

Laura, That's awesome- it's so great, and it speaks so strongly to the brokenness of this world. Thanks for your encouragement, girl, I'm going to keep watching the great things God is doing in and through you!

Dawn, I sure will!! :)
